Menards to Close Local Store, Could Move to Vernon Hills

The home improvement store is eyeing a location at the Gregg's Landing north commercial area in Vernon Hills, according to the Daily Herald.

The Mundelein Menards is slated to close this Friday at 5 p.m. but the home improvement store may open up shop in a new two-story facility in Vernon Hills, according to the Daily Herald. 

The Menards at the Oak Creek Plaza in Mundelein will be torn down and replaced by a Super Walmart while the Vernon Hills village board is expected to consider a concept plan from Menards on a new location just north of Gregg's Parkway and west of Milwaukee Avenue in Vernon Hills at a Tuesday meeting, according to the Daily Herald. 

The Mundelein Menards will offer 50 percent discounts at its location on Route 60 through Friday, according to the article.
