New Pizza Restaurant to Open in Libertyville

Pizzeria Deville will be located at 404 N. Milwaukee Ave.

A new pizza restaurant is coming to Libertyville.

Libertyville trustees voted unanimously Jan. 14 to increase the number of Class A liquor licenses in the village from 15 to 16.

The latest liquor license will go to John Durning, who plans to open Pizzeria Deville Restaurant at 404 N. Milwaukee Ave. According to village board meeting documents, the restaurant will feature wood-fired pizzas. There will be seating for 64 customers on the first floor, along with space for 48 customers in the basement.

Durning said he hopes to open the restaurant in late spring.

The Pizzeria Deville menu includes a variety of salads, bruschettas, fritattas and other items in addition to the pizza.

The pizza menu includes offerings like "Cheese Pie Like Vinnies," with tomato sauce, pecorino and mozzarella, and "Da Snooza," with chicken apple sausage, roasted red peppers, gorgonzola, pecorino, mozzarella and tomato cream. There are also lots of toppings to choose from, including prosciutto, bacon, pancetta, ricotta, eggplant, tomatoes and baby arugula.
