Road Construction Delays Frustrating Libertyville Merchants

Construction work on Milwaukee Avenue has been delayed five months.

Owners of Libertyville businesses located near the downtown continue to be frustrated by delays in road construction along Milwaukee Avenue, reported the Libertyville Review.

The $23 million IDOT project, which Libertyille officials hoped would be completed by the end of August, is expected to be completed in January, according to the Review.

Work has been stalled as a result of the relocation of underground utility lines and April's record rainfall.
