Sunset Foods Making Major Renovations at Libertyville Store

Expanded food offerings, more amenities and a new look is planned for Sunset Foods in Libertyville.

Competing grocery stores need to do all they can to attract and retain customers, though Sunset Foods tells the Daily Herald that major improvements to its Libertyville location were being planned well before Trader Joe's announced its new store in February.

On tap for the Libertyville Sunset Foods is a $1 million renovation project anticipated to be completed in mid-August, according to the story.

Improvements will include a full-service floral department, remodeled liquor department with its own entrance, expanded food offerings such as a "build your own burger" bar and more outdoor seating, among other amenities, reported the Daily Herald.
