Libertyville, IL, March 18, 2014:  Consumers Cooperative Association (CCA), the sponsor of Consumers Credit Union (CCU, $604 Million, Waukegan, IL) awarded six (6) $1500.00 scholarships at their recently held 84th Annual Meeting on March 12th.  The recipients, all Lake County, IL, high school seniors, are able to use the scholarship at the college or university of their choice.

“The ability to assist our youth in attending the collage of their choice through our scholarship program is a point of great joy and pride for the Association,” noted Elizabeth (Liz) Oldham, President of Consumers Cooperative Association. “We believe it is critical that we support our young people by providing the opportunity for them to receive a higher education.  We hope these scholarships help our winners achieve their dreams as they journey from high school today, to become the leaders of tomorrow. We’re proud to help them with that opportunity and look forward to seeing the great things they’re sure to accomplish.”
