Consumers Credit Union Names Three (3) New Managers

New positions and new opportunities key to historic credit union’s growth plan

Libertyville, IL, June 17, 2014:  Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $620 Million, Waukegan, IL) recently introduced three new Managers at the Member-owned credit union.  Two employees were promoted internally: Melissa Rostkowski is CCU’s new Centralized Sales Manager, while Greg Tonsul was promoted to Outbound Sales Manager.  The credit union also announced the hiring of Pedro Hernandez as their Member Experience Manager at the Volo office, replacing Rostkowski.

Melissa Rostkowski has an extensive background in the credit union industry, with a wealth of experience in Member service, lending and sales.  She began her career in financial services at Baxter Credit Union, joining CCU in 2007 as the Branch Manager in Mundelein, then becoming the first Branch Manager in Volo when that branch opened in 2009. As Centralized Sales Manager, Melissa’s new responsibilities include the oversight of Sales in all channels, including video interactions with Members, telephone and Online account enrollment.

Greg Tonsul joined Consumers Credit Union at the Waukegan branch as a Teller in the Counter Service Department in 2006. He was soon promoted to Member Service Representative in Volo, where he quickly became one of the credit union’s leaders in new accounts and loan originations.  Greg was the first employee in CCU’s newly-created Outbound Sales Department in 2012.  As Outbound Sales Manager, Greg is responsible for training and developing new talent in a department that has grown to five full-time employees in the past two years.

Pedro Hernandez joined CCU in March of this year, bringing with him a diverse background in the financial services industry. He has management experience at Bank Financial, PNC Bank and First Midwest Bank.  Pedro is responsible for maintaining outstanding Member service at the Volo Branch, along with supervising the day to day operations of the office. The credit union is excited about the growth opportunities in the Volo area under Pedro’s leadership.
