Time is Running Out

On April 8, 2014 Microsoft is ending support of Windows XP and Office 2003. Workstations running Windows XP will soon be a major security risk along with any network to which the workstations are connected.

What does this mean? After April 8, 2014, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates. Running Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 in your environment after their end of support date may expose your company to potential risks, such as:
• Security & Compliance Risks:
• Lack of Independent Software Vendor (ISV) & Hardware Manufacturers support.
To ensure you remain on supported versions of Windows and Office, you should begin planning and application testing immediately to ensure your system is converted before support ends. Don’t leave your system vulnerable. Contact Jim Butler, JHB Technology Consulting, at 847-634-0630 or jhb@jhbconsulting.com to start your updating today.
