Dry Skin, Athlete's Foot, Weight loss - The Same Product Can Be Used for All Three!

A lot of this information we posted last year around the same time, but I was reminded of it as I was shopping last night.  Prior to grocery shopping I always check my pantry and determine what meals we will make for the week.  Not only is this good on the wallet, but on the belt line too!  That's neither here nor there though!  Last night I noticed I was lacking a staple that should never be on empty in the house; Coconut Oil.

After scouring the shelves at Jewel, I was informed that they were out.  I went across the street to Mariano's where I picked up the LAST remaining coconut oil.  How could this be?  Perhaps 2014 is the year people are realizing the importance of coconut oil.  Regardless the reason, it prompted me to re-post some of the ways to use coconut oil!

Coconut oil is beneficial in every area of the house, so it may pay to have more then one jar.  I always fill a small container and keep it in the shower to use as a moisturizer.  Other uses in the bathroom include a makeup remover, on acne scars, as a massage oil, to fight hair friz, chapstick, athletes foot and more!

After thorough research on the topic, there is rarely an item that coconut oil cannot help with in some form or another.  You can eat it straight up to help with energy, thyroid function, boost metabolism AND some studies are even showing it may help prevent Alzheimer's!

Coconut oil can be used in numerous home-made products such as diaper cream, body scrubs, toothpaste, bug repellent, body balm and more!  Who wouldn't want this on their shelves?

Remember there are different types of coconut oil that can be used for different purposes.  Do a bit of research before diving into recipe building in your kitchen.  For external uses, expeller pressed or other types of refined coconut oil will work, but for internal use, an unrefined virgin coconut oil is best.

Let us know how your use coconut oil around the house, or in what ways it has helped your family!
