Legendary Pita Inn Adds Crown Jewel In Mundelein With Brand New Location!

When it comes to flavors, the proprietor's at Pita Inn have created a winning formula that's universally appealing to essentially any taste pallet.

For the past 31 year's, Owner Falah Tabahi and family have seen their American Dreams transformed into the sort of reality that would give anyone first stepping on American soil eternal hope: An opportunity that began with honesty, hard work, creativity, culinary genius and finally, philanthropy.

That's right: Though the folks that run Pita Inn humbly avoid trumpeting the charitable side of their generosity, they have fed droves of individuals and families by providing food to those less fortunate and much more. Even their newest location has quietly contributed to food pantries in their region of Lake County.

The formula is simple: Fresh ingredients, eye-catching, enticing, meals that combine tradition with ingenuity=great taste, stand-alone taste-sensations, satisfying combinations and the best end result any family or individual could ask for: Healthy options!

It is widely known that the Mediterranean diet is considered one of the best for heart health, healthy, controlled weight loss and more. So many beautiful benefits. So, when Pita Inn wins all the culinary awards year in and year out, it's no coincidence. Plus: Even though they are sometimes called a "fast food" option, their loyal followers know better: The only items that are fast are their incredibly efficient and friendly staff, who crank out lunches and dinners at record speed with an eye pointed towards quality, friendly service and customer satisfaction. Oh yes, and the other aspect that might be perceived as "fast food" would be their affordable prices. Other than that, anyone whose ever dined at any of the three previous Pita Inn's and now the newest, most uptempo Pita Inn in Mundelein, know, that on any given evening, a family can enjoy a complete feast with their entire family and leave feeling good about their meal.

General Manager Wally Fatah is the upbeat, high energy force behind the new Mundelein location. His positive, high-energy approach represents a wonderful balance between the traditional values that his predecessor's have created a platform for one of the most successful restaurant franchises in the Midwest and young visionary's like Wally who manage with creativity and enthusiasm.

The entire Mundelein staff welcomes their new clientele with a light, breezy positivity that's truly contagious. Without exception, each and every customer is provided with all the comfort and service one entering a brand new establishment could ever ask for. Wally and staff genuinely care about your experience and will do whatever it takes within reason to ensure that client expectation's are met.

"From the moment we open our doors each day, our goal is to ensure that every customer feels like they received the quality, taste and healthy options that originated in our flagship location in Skokie." To be sure, the newest location is larger than it's predecessor, and appointed beautifully with some gorgeous modern lighting touches, including a cascading water light that's mesmerizing upon entering the restaurant.

In answer, the Skokie location is not resting on it's laurels and this reporter will be covering Pita Inn/Skokie's upcoming innovative changes in the near future.

In the meantime, after a short, soft roll-out, Pita Inn Mundelein has been tremendously received, having met and exceeded expectations at this juncture. They've even grabbed a few of their more experienced Chef's and assistant's to guarantee quality control and taste. Speaking of which, with Wally's attention to detail and a knack for how a great restaurant should be run, the Combination Feast is so far, my favorite version out of all four locations. The "Combo" as we affectionately like to call it includes a generous helping of Chicken Tender to go with the Shwarma, Shish Kabob, Kifta Kabob, Falafel, Rice Pilaf and of course, their famous, home baked Pita Bread. In my estimation, the Combination Feast may stand out as the best dinner VALUE in all of Chicagoland-bar none. The Combination Feast has no rival.

The good news is that when you stop into a Pita Inn, the food is so consistently good, that the most difficult aspect is deciding which meal to purchase. Of course, lunchtime is a no-brainer: The Business Person's Special includes a literal Smorgasbord of flavors-again, guaranteed to satisfy even the most finicky of appetites.

Now comes Pita Inn Mundelein: The versatile menu, great value, easy to get to location, right off of Townline Road/Route 60 and a soothing atmosphere with upscale lighting and relaxing water flowing near the entranceway, plus another bonus similar to their Glenview location: fantastic outdoor seating when the weather permits. So far, Mundelein is a can't miss dining experience that's easily accessed from Libertyville, Vernon Hills, Buffalo Grove, Hawthorne Woods, Grayslake and even Lake Zurich!

Their vegetarian options reign supreme as well: So far, their Baba Ghannug and Hummus are the creamiest I've tasted at this juncture and their grape leaves and my personal favorite, the Jerusalem Salad are scrumptious and mouth watering.

With so many healthy, tasty, versatile menu options a family could dine at Pita Inn Mundelein 5 nights a week and would feel like they'd eaten like Kings & Queens. That's how consistently good and well run the newest location is.

With Wally Fatah at the helm, somehow I'm expecting that four locations is only temporary. Look for the Pita Inn franchise to continue to grow exponentially over the next several years.
