Why Go?: The GLMV Chamber of Commerce invites local business professionals to a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Business After Hours Networking and Grand Opening Event at Candlewood Suites Libertyville. The Ribbon Cutting will highlight Candlewood Suites recent $2M upgrade and renovation project -- giving the hotel an up-to-date and fresh, new look..

When: Saturday, April 21, 8 a.m.

Where: 16400 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048 (Independence Grove Forest Preserve)

Why Go?: This USATF certified course takes participants around the beautiful loops of Independence Grove Forest Preserve. Whether you are a seasoned or beginner runner, walker or just want to get outside for a worthy cause, this is a great race for a great cause. All proceeds are distributed to those in need in Lake County through the efforts of the St. Vincent DePaul Societies Grayslake and Gurnee chapters.

Price: $30 for the 5K
$15 for Kids Fun Run
$35 Day of the race 5K


When: Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m.

Where:  512 N Milwaukee Ave

Why Go?: Take a stroll through Wedding Row in Downtown Libertyville from 10:00am-3:00pm and visit over twenty (20) participating businesses offering special promotions including food and drinks, coupons, raffles and products specific to the bridal market.  Participating businesses will display a Wedding Walk poster in their front window - stop in to pick up your map and start your day.

Where: 735 N Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville

Why Go?: This is a family friendly sketch and games based show in the style of "Whose Line..." and Chicago Improv featuring the hilarious Improv Comedy Troupe "Lost Not Stolen".
