Learn How to Host Your Own Book Club
Michele Weber Hurwitz, author of Calli Be Gold, will be among a group of local authors who will teach readers how to run book clubs.
Buffalo Grove resident , is among three local authors who will host Book Club Extravaganza Day this month. The program will provide guidance for those who want to start a book club or people who are looking for fresh ideas for their existing club.
Hurwitz will be joined by authors Frances McNamara and Joan Naper.
The program, which is sponsored by Cook Memorial Public Library, runs from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 24 at Sullivan Community Center, 635 N. Aspen Drive, Vernon Hills. Participation is free, but registration is required. To sign up, call 847-362-2330 or visit webres.cooklib.org.
