Libertyville Weekend: Plant Sales, Train Days and More!

Are you looking for something to do in Libertyville this weekend?

We've put together a list of some events taking place in and around town that you can check out.

Artistic Kids

The David Adler Music and Arts Center will host a children's art exhibit with the Libertyville Co-Operative Nursery School. Stop by and check out the art during an open reception from 5 to 8 p.m. May 17. The exhibit will run through June 1.

Got Household Waste?

Got some antifreeze, motor oil, pesticides, fluorescent light bulbs, varnish or oil-based paints to get rid of? Stop by the Vernon Hills Metra Station, located at Route 45 and Ranney Road, between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. May 18. The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County is holding a Household Chemical Waste collection. See the full list of accepted items on the SWALCO website.

Deal Hunting

Who doesn't love a garage sale? There are plenty taking place this weekend—and the weather should be great! Check out some local garage sales here on Libertyville Patch

Farm Connections

Prairie Crossing Farm will host its Farm Connections Open House from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 18. Stop by and purchase organic plants, meet the farmers, visit the chickens and baby goats, and support local farmers.

Choo Choo!

Lambs Farm will host their annual Train Days from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 18 and 19. Guests can operate model trains free of charge. There will also be crafts, activities and a visit from the Budweiser Clydesdales! The Clydesdales are slated to parade around Lambs Farm at 1 p.m. May 18.
