Temperature Roller Coaster Ahead This Week

Looks like I brought some warm weather with me as a souvenir from my vacation last week!

We're in for a warm-up early this week, with temperatures expected to reach 72 today, 78 on Tuesday and 77 on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. All three days see a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures will cool for the second half of the week. Thursday's forecast calls for a high near 55 and a 40 percent chance of showers, the National Weather Service says. Showers are likely on Friday, with a high near 56.

What's in store for the weekend? Highs in the mid-50s and a chance of showers are expected both Saturday and Sunday.

The 10-day forecast on the Weather Channel shows temperatures slowly warming into the upper 50s by the middle of next week.
