The is celebrating its 175th anniversary on Sept. 25 with a special visit by “John Wesley,” the Anglican priest from England who began the Methodist movement in the 18th century.
Two blended worship services at 8:30 and 10 a.m. will feature a dramatic portrayal of the life of Wesley, who at age 70, looks back at his experiences.
The program is a mix of wit and wisdom, inspiration and challenge, as gleaned from the journals and writings of Wesley and interpreted by retired high school communications teacher Fred Moore.
Special music by the Choir and contemporary Praise Band also will be featured during the services.
The 10 a.m. service will be followed by an old-fashioned, all-congregation potluck.
