Courtyard Concert- The Thomas Brothers Band

Every
Friday
from June 6 to August 29, musicians will perform a wide range of
musical styles including jazz, rock, folk, and bluegrass from noon to 1 p.m. in
front of the library on Clayton and County Streets. If it rains, concerts will
move indoors to the Bradbury Room in the library’s lower level. Listeners can
bring their own lunch or purchase lunch available for sale onsite from Green
Town Tavern. Drinks and baked goods are also available for purchase by the
Friends of the Waukegan Public Library. The Courtyard Concerts are generously
sponsored each year by the Friends of the Waukegan Public Library.

The Thomas Brothers Band is unique in the fact that they are all
brothers who mastered different instruments when they were young. They
have developed and showcased their talents in various venues across the
Chicagoland area performing many genres of music including R&B,
Blues, Jazz, and Rock & Roll but their dynamic horns section sets
them apart from other bands. This band provides a combination of
exciting guitar playing, mellow vocals and harmony, with a rhythmic
undercurrent that bears testament to their skills, and punctuated
throughout with elements of a brass horn section which adds a unique
sound with a twist.
