Healthcare Reform: Things You Need to Know NOW

Family Service: Prevention, Education & Counseling NFP invites area residents to a community seminar “Health Care Reform: Things You Need to Know NOW,” to be held Monday, February 25, 2013, from 7-8:30 p.m. at The Commons, Highland Park High School, 433 Vine Avenue, Highland Park.  The seminar will be presented by Kathy Waligora, MSW, of the Illinois Maternal and Child Health Coalition.  The program is complimentary to the community, and light refreshments will be served.  Advance registration is requested.  Please call 847-432-4981, x110.  Walk-ins are welcome.  Guests should enter through Entrance H at the parking lot off St. James Avenue.


 Kathy Waligora currently serves as the Policy and Communications Coordinator for the Illinois Maternal and Child Health Coalition, where she provides support for policy education and implementation efforts in Illinois. In 2011, Kathy graduated with an MA in social service administration from the University of Chicago and has worked in healthy promotion and policy for seven years, including with the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Region V. In her current position, Ms. Waligora has educated more than 2,000 people on the provisions of the Affordable Care Act and the impact of these changes for Illinoisans.
