Facilitator Training for Grief Support Groups

An Amazing Volunteer Opportunity!

Make a difference in the life of a grieving child or teen...

Willow House needs Facilitators for Children's & Teens Support Groups

Willow House provides support to children, teens and their parents coping with grief and the death of their mom, dad and spouse or their sister, brother and child.  Peer support groups are offered in Chicago, Arlington Heights, Libertyville and Riverwoods.

Support groups for Children and Teens are co-facilitated by trained Volunteer Group Facilitators.  A comprehensive training is offered 2 or 3 times annually and includes:

~Review of educational information and research regarding children and grief
~Instruction on how to be an effective peer support group facilitator

The next 20 hour training will be offered in early 2014 (Please note-trainees must be able to attend all of the following sessions)

Wednesday, Feb. 5th - 6pm to 9pm
Saturday, Feb. 8th - 9am to 4pm
