Donna and Jennifer Radke, the mother/daughter team of sales associates at RE/MAX Center in Grayslake, are holding the first annual benefit to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in honor of Michelle Radke. Michelle, their daughter/sister, died at the age of 29 in 1997 from complications of diabetes which was first diagnosed when she was 2 years old. Donna and Michelle want to help other children and their families who face the same kinds of challenges they did.
The day features live music by two popular bands, amazing items for a silent auction and a live auction, raffles, prizes and pizza.
The doors open at 12:30. The band Left With Tomorrow will perform from 1 - 2 p.m. From 2 - 2:30 p.m. the Radkes and another family will share their personal stories about children with major medical challenges. Raffle drawings and silent auction results will be announced from 2:30 - 3 p.m. The Breakfast Club will perform from 3 - 4 p.m. and more live auction and raffle drawings will take place from 4 - 5 p.m. The Breakfast Club will perform again from 5 - 6:30 p.m.
