Community Corner

Creative Rehab's Holiday Charity Drive

Join Creative Rehab this holiday season as we collect items for the women and children at A Safe Place in Lake County.

Each year A Safe Place organizes a Holiday Store where families in need can pick out items that they can give as gifts to loved ones. These items are donated by the community and are available in the Holiday Store at no cost to the families. Please follow the link below to see a list of items that are most needed for the Holiday Store. We will be collecting new items for the Holiday Store until December 6th.

In addition to collecting items for the Holiday Store, we will be collecting donations for items that A Safe Place can utilize the entire year. A Safe Place relies on the generosity of the community to provide support for many families so anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.  Donations for the everyday needs of A Safe Place will be collected until December 21st.

Please visit www.creativerehab.net for more information and to see the lists of items that we will be collecting.   All donations will be accepted at both our Gurnee and Libertyville clinics. If you have any questions or need directions please call 847-362-9171.

What is A Safe Place?

A Safe Place is the sole provider of services exclusively addressing domestic violence in Lake County, Illinois.  They assist victims in transforming their lives after domestic violence by providing shelter, transitional housing, court advocacy, referrals and comprehensive
counseling programs.

They also prevent future abuse by addressing the direct cause of domestic violence through abuser intervention programs. A Safe Place educates the community about domestic violence and how we can all be involved in its end. For more information about what A Safe Place does and what you can do to help please visit their website www.asafeplaceforhelp.org.
