"Gardening Over Your Head" (green roofs) Gardeners of Central Lake County

 Sarah Simpson will present a program on rooftop gardening, "Gardening Over Your Head"
 
Join us for a talk on green roofs, their benefits and a look at the first residential green roof in Lake County!

Originally from England, Sarah became interested in green roof gardening after learning of the green roof on City Hall, Chicago.  She has attended many educational events influencing her own green roof right here in Libertyville.  Sarah will discuss her second floor flat topped green roof addition completed in 2004 .
 
Following the free program, meet and mingle with members of our garden club.
 
The Gardeners of Central Lake County meet monthly on the 2nd Monday and host interesting and informative programs including a plant competition at each meeting.  Open to the public- Guests are always welcome, no gardening experience necessary!
