Gardeners of Central Lake County August 13, 2012 Meeting "Pioneer Gardens" presented by Nancy Schumm-Burgess Pioneer women knew everything about garden flowers and their medicinal uses and where and when they grew best. Nancy's presentation explores the history of the kitchen garden, the prairie and the home garden. Nancy is the author of several books and an award winning photographer, environmentalist and history writer. Following the free program, meet and mingle with members of our garden club.
The Gardeners of Central Lake County meet monthly on the 2nd Monday and host interesting and informative programs including a plant competition at each meeting. Open to the public- Guests are always welcome, no gardening experience necessary!
