Local Business to Host Lingerie Fashion Show Benefit

Guests will get a taste of Paris in Grayslake at The Fitting Room’s lingerie fashion show benefit.

“Bisous de Paris” is slated for June 8 and will benefit A Safe Place, which helps victims of domestic violence.

The event will feature a lingerie fashion show with 12 "everyday" women representing a variety of shapes and sizes, according to a press release from The Fitting Room.

"Our main purpose for these fashion shows is to help women regain their confidence, feel sexy, and love their every inch and curve," said Bekah Anderson, the owner of The Fitting Room.

The show will be presented in five segments and will feature lingerie from two local designers —Dottie's Delights and The Giving Bride—with vintage-themed styled, spring/summer styles and swimwear.

"Ultimately we hope the readers will attend the event to enjoy an evening completely out of the ordinary, while helping A Safe Place with their mission to serve domestic violence victims in Lake County," said Eli Kopteva, design manager at The Fitting Room. "We hope our real women models can help inspire the women in the audience."

When guests arrive at the "Bisous de Paris" event, they will walk on a red carpet, and Golden Photography will take photos of guests with the models. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served, including locally-brewed beer from Mickey Finn's in Libertyville. Entertainment will be provided by a DJ. There will also be raffle tickets available for purchase.

Local artist and lingerie model Jonelle Jones will kick off the show with a unique vocal performance, according to The Fitting Room. Several local businesses will showcase their products and services, including The Fitting Room, Rowland Custom Framing, Uncommonly Boutique, Cacao Sweets & Treats, Lia Sophia and The Bloom Room.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. To purchase tickets in advance, visit bisousdeparisbenefit.eventbrite.com. Guests must be at least 18 years old to attend.

"Bisous de Paris" will be held at the A3 Performance Center, at 888 E Belvidere Rd #218, Grayslake.
