CASA Lake County Volunteers Prepare for Dec. 13 Open House

CASA Lake County is located in Vernon Hills.

The staff and volunteers of CASA Lake County showed what it means to be a non-profit organization when they put on their painting clothes to save money to freshen up the interior walls of their building at 700 Forest Edge Drive in The Corporate Woods, Vernon Hills.

They are preparing for their Friday, Dec. 13 holiday open house, when dozens of volunteers will pick up warm clothes, boots, and household goods for their CASA children.

The Walden Elementary School Philanthropy Committee is now in its fifth year of Caring for CASA. The Deerfield-based school is asking for the community to contribute. Go to www.signupGenius.com/go/wecare5 to help. CASA Lake County is always looking for compassionate volunteers to provide a voice to abused and neglected children.

For more information call CASA at 847/383-6260 extension 217 or look at their web site at www.casalakecounty.com.
