Highland Middle School Volleyball Team Wins Lakeside Conference Championship

The eighth grade girls' team competed Oct. 17.

This season’s Highland Middle School eighth-grade girls' volleyball team won the Lakeside Conference Championship on Oct. 17, repeating their victory from last year when they won the seventh-grade championship.

The Highland Hornets knocked off Oak Grove in two games to claim their second championship in a row. The Highland girls’ team also went undefeated during the regular 2013-14 season with a perfect 9-0.

"What an unbelievable season the girls had,” said coach Gerry Carollo, the physical education teacher at Adler Park School. “They worked hard in practice, which carried over to the games.  The skill level on this team was top notch.”
