Senior Pat Humen from Libertyville High School will be headed to state after qualifying as an individual at the sectional meet at Busse Woods Forest Preserve over the weekend, according to the Illinois High School Association website.
Humen finished in tenth place with a time of 15:37 at the sectional meet, according to the IHSA results page.
The state boys and girls cross-country meet will be held on Nov. 9 at Detweiller Park in Peoria.
