"Routine car maintenance? Why not yearly routine home maintenance? Anyone interested?"

Keeping your home well-maintained all year around is like keeping a car well preserved with routine maintenance that will last longer than the norm! Any questions? Read on...

Since my last article, of "General Contractors Gone Bad", I took some time out to thinking about home maintenance. There are so many contractors that are called out by the homeowner for an inspection with a roof, HVAC issue, plumbing etc. What could be just a simple routine maintenance check on a minor issue, could wind up being a costly replacement of something that never needed to be replaced. Being a consumer myself, I would like to get some feedback from the homeowners out there that are wanting to get more bang for their buck. If there were to be a company out there that charged a service to do a routine yearly inspection on your home such as furnace cleaning, duct cleaning, hot water heater drainage of sediment, in addition to yearly roof inspections among many other things that would keep your home properly maintained by a one stop shop company that does it all would it be of interest to you? The upside is that all of these routine maintenance checks would be scheduled yearly when needed and "as a car" it would be kept up instead of letting something go making it a costly repair in the long run. If and when something in your home needed to be replaced or repaired you would have an honest opinion by a professional that would be able to hire out an experienced sub-contractor to take care of the work if necessary. Think wise, be smart. The more we take care of something, the longer it will last us! Let us know your thoughts and comment below. It would be appreciated. Again, Gorsline Development LLC. is a 3rd generation builder that has been around since 1925 with a reputation built on trust and value with the work we do. We would not be where we are today if it was not for our loyalty and craftsmanship. Your opinion matters. We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait for the feedback!

Respectfully,
