Libertyville – On Saturday morning, Republican candidate for Lake County Treasurer Jeri Atleson received the endorsement of the Libertyville Township GOP. Atleson, a certified public accountant, received 100% of the vote on the first ballot.
“The endorsement session consisted of giving each candidate equal time to make their case, answer our questions and afterward, the committeemen discussed the merits of each candidate,” explained Libertyville Township Committeeman Bob Goodman. “We found Jeri to be an outstanding candidate who had a strong grasp of the issues and great understanding of the Treasurer’s office. Her appeal was strengthened by her electability as she embodies exactly what the GOP, and frankly Independents, want in their candidates and elected officials. That is why she received 100% of Libertyville’s support and why I am proud to support her.”
A graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Atleson currently serves as a Fremont Township Trustee and Treasurer of the Lake County Republican Central Committee.
