Thanksgiving: The Spirit of Contributing

"Of all the attitudes we can acquire, surely the attitude of gratitude is the most important and by far the most life changing." Help NSPAH make a difference this Thanksgiving in Lake County!

The North Shore Pro-Active Health Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive has become a tradition for this local Libertyville chiropractic office. A single $25 donation will feed an entire family of 6 people. Chiropractor sisters, Dr. Jordan and Dr. Jade Leasure started the food drive in 2009 and the first time out they packed and distributed 25 full traditional Thanksgiving meals complete with a ten pound turkey! 2010 saw a small increase in meals delivered and distributed by the Waukegan Food Pantries.

Last year, patients and friends of the office boosted donations enough to feed more than 50 families as well as providing holiday dinners for the Lake County Haven. “Because chiropractic is about wellness of the whole individual we believe that our community well-nourished and this is just one way that we found to accomplish that on a small level,” Dr. Jordan emphasized.

“We are fortunate to have patients who recognize the importance of community service and they have helped immensely with donations, supplying the packing boxes, packing and distribution. The project does not end with the donation,” says Dr. Jade “We can use all the help we can get to make this a success!”

“Our minimum goal is to feed 50 families in 2012 but if we could really push and do 75 that would be amazing,” adds Dr. Jordan Leasure, owner of NSPAH.
