Oak Grove School Education Foundation To Host Gala on March 3, 2012
Oak Grove School Education Foundation Hosts "The Grove Gala: Around the World" March 3, 2012, at the Deerpath Inn in Lake Forest, Illinois.
The Oak Grove School Education Foundation (“OGSEF”) will host its premier biennial event, The Grove Gala: Around The World, on March 3, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest.
The Grove Gala: Around The World is the largest OGSEF fundraiser and supports the Foundation’s goals. OGSEF exists to enrich the Oak Grove School curriculum through programs and technology for teachers and within classrooms while focusing on four key areas: 1) Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM); 2) Arts and Language; 3) Supporting Teacher Innovation; and 4) Making Sure Every Student Realizes His or Her Full Potential.
All proceeds raised by The Grove Gala: Around the World will go toward improvements of Oak Grove School’s middle school and junior high science curriculum.

The Around The World Gala will feature authentic ethnic foods from Africa, South America, Europe and Asia, as well as Las Vegas Style casino games such as Poker, Blackjack, Craps and Roulette – all fundraising activities to support Foundation initiatives.
Members of the OGSEF Business Partner Program (BPP) are participating in the Gala by sponsoring Casino tables for the event. Area businesses who have already committed to sponsor Casino tables include: Slammers Baseball and Softball Training Center of Libertyville; Joyce Bros. Commercial Moving Company; Liberty Hearing and Health Supply; Baxter Credit Union (BCU); the Institute of Dental Implants and Periodontics; Identity Products; and ShanShots.

Participation in the Gala is open to residents of the Libertyville, Green Oaks and surrounding area communities. To register and purchase tickets, visit www.events.org/oakgrove. Tickets are $75.00 per person. Businesses or individuals who are interested in purchasing an advertisement in the gala program, contribute auction items, or sponsor the Gala may do so on line. The Oak Grove School Education Foundation, via individual and business contributions, provides supplemental funding to Oak Grove School District 68 in the form of programs, equipment, resources and classroom mini-grants intended to enhance the overall Oak Grove School educational experience. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed over $125,000 for projects and grants that give Oak Grove students opportunities to reach new heights in academic excellence.
