Wildcat Boys Lacrosse loses a 5-4 Heartbreaker in Overtime!

Libertyville High School Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Team played a tough 48 minutes during regulation only to end in a 4-4 tie and eventually losing in overtime 5-4 against undefeated Lake Zurich Bears.  Wildcat offense was on fire during the first half scoring 3 of their 4 goals with defense holding the Bears to only 2 goals.  The second half brought a back and forth battle with lots of great lacrosse game play from two strong teams.  The offense was led by Connor Loucks with 2 goals and 1 assist followed closely by Phil Santi with 2 goals.  Adding 1 assist each were Zach Freidman and AJ Schmidt.  Kevin Verkler again led the defense with 4 ground balls and Cole Blazer saved 8 goals.  Wildcats will travel to Stevenson on Tuesday, April 10th .
