Lake County’s Top Cops Race for Hunger

Sheriff Mark C. Curran Jr. and Undersheriff Raymond J. Rose will race during the 16th Annual Race for Hunger. 

On March 13, 2014 at 9:45 am Sheriff Curran and Undersheriff Rose will race each other at the Piggly Wiggly located at 460 Orchard St in Antioch.  Both contestants will load a shopping cart with non-perishable foods with a time limit of five minutes.  The contestants cart containing the highest monetary value will be the winner of the 16th Annual Race for Hunger.  The food items are then purchased by the Lake County Farm Bureau and given to local food pantries. 

Sheriff Curran’s food items will be given to COOL Ministries in Waukegan.  Undersheriff Rose’s food items will be given to Fremont Township Food Pantry.
