The Lake County Sheriff's Office is Going Green

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has moved to paperless!

Deputies, detectives and others involved in the creation of incidents, supplements and arrest reports are now performing such action via a web interface.  No longer are they taking pen to paper.  Instead they are writing their reports in a web based interface which provides for an approval workflow and the seamless entry, once approved, into a Records Management System.  This project is one of several implemented within the Lake County Sheriff’s Office to expedite the flow of information, eliminate physical paper, and reduce the need to enter the same information manually into multiple systems.  While the Lake County Sheriff’s Office started the project with only 30 personnel writing and approving reports, it’s expected by the fall that all reports will be handled in this manner.

End of Release.
