Rain, Rain, Go THIS Way!

While we need rain, too much can cause problems: erosion, flooding,  unstable ravines and bluffs, water pollution, beach closures, etc. The League of Women Voters - Lake Forest/Lake Bluff is sponsoring a program addressing these issues. Hear and question three experts, and learn some practical and attractive landscaping solutions in mitigating expensive flooding and erosion damages.

On Monday, June 30, 7:00 pm, at Elawa Farm, three speakers will explain the problems and provide some solutions:

•          Krista Grimm, Urban Planner, and LWV-Illiinois Water Specialist

This program is part of a project partially funded by an Illinois Coastal Management grant. Remember, we all live downstream. Anything we can learn and implement about storm water management will help ourselves and others, and may save you money.

The program is free, but please register at www.lwv-lflb.org

Elawa Farm is located at 1401 Middlefork Drive, Lake Forest (off Waukegan Road north of Deerpath).
