Father's Day Thoughts

Caring for Our Aging Fathers

As Father’s Day approaches do you find your aging father relying on you whenever problems arise?  Are you currently caring for him as his health declines?  Does it take more time than you have, require knowledge of the medical system and health insurance coverage that you do not have or entail tasks that make you feel uncomfortable?

Eventually you may realize that caring for your aging parent can be frustrating and lead to caregiver burn out.  It can also lead to dissension with siblings particularly if several live far away and you are the local son or daughter.

Where can you turn for help?  Geriatric Care Managers help families manage the care of their loved ones.  We are nursing consultants knowledgeable about resources, care options, care needs, and outcomes.  If you feel confused, overwhelmed or conflicted about the care needs of your father please give us a call.

Thanks for bringing up the issue Ms. Carey. Many people do not know that health insurance, Medicare, Medicare Supplements do not pay for long term care costs other than acute care. Everyone needs to get long term care insurance to protect the loved ones from being tied down once health changes and require home care. Custodial care is what most people need.. Medical insurance does not pay and they loved ones have to be stuck helping in and out every day, month after month at times with no end in sight. I said everyone because none of us are protected, if we have an accident that requires us to need home care, even at age 40. So, lets do the right thing by taking care of the fathers and get them protected with long them care insurance. We work with all reputable companies across the United States. Call 800-788-8921 or visit www.insureyourfuture.com for free information and quotes. You'll be amazed how affordable it is to be protected and live worry free.
