Blasius Jabeck, 87, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in Glenview. Blasius was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Yugoslavia and came to live in the United States in 1955. He was a 30 year employee of the Art Woodworking Company and a member of the Chicago Millman Local #1027. Surviving are three children, Peter (Nancy) Jabeck, Richard (Melody) Jabeck and Magdalen Jabeck; and six grandchildren, Dana (Jamie), Brian (Katie), Molly, Kasie, Jordan and Parker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva, in 2008; by his son, Albert, in 1952; and brothers, Joseph and Danny. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville and just before Mass at the church. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at St. Mary of Vernon Church, 236 W. Highway 45, Indian Creek. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
