Obituary: Charlene O. Foster

Services have been scheduled for Charlene O. Foster of Libertyville.

Charlene O. Foster, 77, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. Charlene She was born Aug. 24, 1935 in Ellettsville, Ind., and had lived in Libertyville since 1979. She was a graduate of Indiana University and received her masters degree in foods and nutrition from Purdue University. She was a member of Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Friendship Force International and the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Charlene was a very giving homemaker and teacher who worked in social services for many years at the Lake County Health Department and Catholic Charities. Surviving are her husband, George Foster; children, Mark Foster (Alyssa O'Neill) of Libertyville and Tamara Foster (Thomas Harding) of San Francisco, Calif.; three grandchildren, Samantha Foster, Lukas and Noah Harding; sister, Vivian Dillman; and brother, James (Barbara) Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Helen Oliver; and brothers, Jack and Steven Philip Oliver. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. l5, at Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 32475 Alleghany Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment and memorial information are pending.
