Obituary: Donald S. Humanski

Donald S. Humanski, 71, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Chicago, and had been a Libertyville resident for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Libertyville and was the former owner of Galaxy Film Works in Arlington Heights. Don enjoyed his bowling leagues, fishing on Lake Erie and in Canada, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Cardinal Stritch Council #3674. Surviving are his wife, Nancy (nee Sankey) Humanski of Libertyville; children, Lisa (Timothy) Case of Round Lake Beach and Glenn (Cara) Humanski of Carpentersville; five grandchildren, Lindsay Case, Jessica Humanski, Mallory Case, Timothy (Tera) Case and Jennifer (Ed) Kniest; his brother, Robert (Toni) Humanski; and sister, Patricia (Joe) Hurba. Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville, and proceed to St. Joseph Church for funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
