Obituary: Louis J. "Buzz" Gnadt Jr.

Louis J. "Buzz" Gnadt Jr., 86, a resident of the Vernon Hills area for the past 55 years, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, sept. 25, 2012, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Louis had been a volunteer firefighter for the Vernon Fire Protection District for many years. Surviving are three sons, Louis (Debra) Gnadt of Long Grove, David (Patricia) Gnadt of Mundelein and Allen (Patsy) Gnadt of Vernon Hills; five grandchildren, Theresa (Chris) Young, Christina Gnadt, Margaret (Batgerel) Erdenebat, Allison (Geoff) Coltman and Megan Gnadt; four great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Caleb, Kalia and Nathan; and his sister, Virginia Hartung. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Gnadt, in 1965. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District in his memory.
