Obituary: Maria M. Andrews

Maria M. Andrews, 76, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born May 4, 1936, in Kalos Agros, Greece, was a former Chicago resident, living in Round Lake Beach for the past 15 years. Maria was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Curves in Round Lake Beach. She was a talented seamstress, loved to knit, was a beloved wife mother and grandmother and a wonderful friend to many. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Markos Andrews; children, Andy (Christine) Andrews of Ingleside and Georgia Andrews (Rod Hindman) of Rescue, CA; two grandchildren, Markos and Athena, and she was the dear sister of Taki, George, Katina and Patra. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1400 N. O'Plaine Road, Libertyville. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W.
