Obituary: Patricia H. Milligan

Services have been scheduled for Patricia H. Milligan.

Patricia H. Milligan, 77, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at her home. She was born Jan. 31, 1935, in Chicago, and her family moved to Elkhorn, Wis. in the early 1940's. She was a 1956 graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in education and also where she met her husband Bob and they married in 1957. She taught at Round Lake and Mundelein High Schools for several years. Pat was a member and sang in the choir at the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, who enjoyed traveling, genealogy, animals, cooking and caring for her family. She and her sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Robert Milligan; two sons, Gary Milligan of Palatine and Glenn Milligan (fiance, Kim Tarmann and her children, Brittney and Ben) of Vernon Hills; and eight grandchildren, Alexia, Marissa, Katie, Sarah, Michael, Stephen (Megan), Jaime and Thom. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene Howard; and daughters-in-law, Mary Jo and Cindy. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, l20 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at the First Presbyterian Church, 219 W. Maple, Libertyville. An interment service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Cemetery in Kenosha, Wis. Memorial contributions to her church would be appreciated. For information, call 847-362-3009.
