Obituary: Vivian C. Irwin

Services have been scheduled for Vivian C. Irwin.

Vivian C. Irwin, 82, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

She was born June 24, 1931 in Diagonal, Iowa, the daughter of the late Clarence and Florence Olson. On March 18, 1954, she married Dwight Irwin in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was a resident of Eliza, IL for 56 years and has lived in Libertyville for the past two years. Vivian was a member of the Eliza Community Church, Eliza Lions Club and Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking, her church and especially her family and friends.

Surviving are her daughters, Paula Steffen of Morris, IL and Sherry Kobitter of Libertyville; five grandchildren, Julie (Greg) Sturgis, Jenna Steffen, Nicholas, Michael and Christopher Kobitter; great granddaughter, Sophia Sturgis and her brothers, Ivan (Elaine) Olson and Guy Olson. She was preceded in death by her husband Dwight Irwin, by an infant son Steven, by her grandson, Alex Kobitter and also by eight brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from Noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at the Eliza Community Church. Interment will follow at Eliza Creek Cemetery.
