Obituary: William Riemer

Services have been scheduled for William Riemer of Libertyville.

William Riemer, 86, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Advocate Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born March 31, 1926, in Chicago, and was a former resident of Niles and Twin Lakes, Wis., living in Libertyville since 1995. He was a former employee of the Riemer Excavating Company in Niles and a member of the Niles Fire Department. Bill was also an Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey (Vicki) Riemer of Glenview, David Riemer of Libertyville and Michael Riemer of Mundelein; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, William, Kaylie, Andrew and Sara; and many brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta "Bobbe" Riemer in 2010; his daughter-in-law, Beth Riemer; and granddaughter, Jenny Riemer. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cmetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 651 W.
