Tito Wants to be Part of Your Family

Check out this dog from Save-A-Pet!

How can you be in a bad mood when he looks at you?

Tito lived with family since he was a puppy and came back when he bit one of the kids. He lived with another dog and they both got along well. His family described him as being an easy-going dog up to then. A few weeks after his return to Save-A-Pet, he was diagnosed with a very aggressive mast cell tumor that was removed from his rear thigh. He is always very tolerant of being handled, even when our Animal Health checked the incision site, which was very sensitive. If it hurt, he would let them know in appropriate ways. He has not caused any problems with our staff or our experienced volunteers. If anything, they love his happy and funny personality. He sits and gives paw (both of them), especially if there is a little treat. He loves butt scratches and always dances in pure delight and loves all squeaky toys. Tito is looking for a permanent foster home (or adoptive home). He did develop a couple of other mast cell tumors. He will be started on oral chemo to make him comfortable while he continues to enjoy life.

While some may feel sorry for him, Tito still enjoys life to the fullest and true to our mission, he will continue to get all the medical care in order for him to continue to enjoy a quality life, filled with both human and doggy friends. What we really want for him is to be able to enjoy all this and more in a home. Save-A-Pet would continue to coordinate his medical care and pay for related expenses at their cooperating vets.

This Pointer/Beagle mix about 10 years old, neutered, up-to-date on routine shots and rabies, heartworm negative and on preventative and microchipped.
