Employee Wellness Perks

Find out what employees are saying that puts their employer in the tip 10 in Chicago

I know you have read the statistics on the obesity epedemic in the United
States.  But have you noticed that employers are getting on the band wagon.
Does your company have a Wellness Committee?  Do you get perks for keeping your blood pressure at a healthy number?  Are you penelized if you smoke?

More and more companies are trying to promote healthy lifestyles among their
employees.  Some even pay a larger portion of your health care costs if you
maintain a healthy weight or keep your cholesterol low.  If your company is not
offering any options for living healthy, you should plant a bug in their ear!
According to the Chicago Tribune’s top 100 companies to work for list, the ones
at the top are those that promote health and welness.  The number 2 company to
work for in the Chicago area has a lunchtime yoga class right in the office.

Why not get a fitness class started at your place of employment?  Imagine how
convient it would be to finish up your day and head right to the conference room
for a yoga class?  Or, instead of rushing to the evening class at the Park
District, just walk down to the meeting room for a strength circuit class.
