Katherine Bronken, a 15-year-old Round Lake girl, has died of injuries sustained following a plane crash in Florida over the weekend, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Her father, Jeffrey Bronken, was killed at the scene of the crash Saturday after the plane crashed nose first near St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport on Saturday. The girl's friend, who also was aboard the Piper PA-28, remains in stable condition at a Florida hospital.

The National Transportation Safety Board continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Bronken, 53, who owned the Glass Man, Inc. in Highland Park, reported having fuel issues prior to the crash.

The 911 calls made by witnesses of the accident were recently released.

According to the Chicago Tribune, in 2009, the Bronken's older daughter died in a snowmobile accident.
