Father Charged with Endangering Child’s Life
Readers are reminded that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
On Feb. 14, police received a report of two drunk men walking with a small child in the area of Butterfield Road and Victory Drive, according to police reports.
Police located Waukegan resident Trenton O’Hair, 28, the father of the three-year-old, and Wheeling resident James Brown, 32. Both men were found to be very drunk.
Both men were taken into custody, and police contacted the Department of Children and Family Services. The child was placed with an aunt.

O’Hair was charged with endangering the life and health of a child and unlawful possession of cannabis. He was later released on personal bond, and his court date is set for March 1.
A records check on Brown revealed that he was wanted on a Lake County warrant and he was transferred to Lake County Jail.
