Libertyville Police Charge Man with Car Burglaries
The following arrest information was supplied by the Libertyville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
arrested a Vernon Hills man on multiple charges of auto burglary on Aug. 22.
Carlos Reyes, 23, 14 Echo Court, Apt. 3, Vernon Hills, was charged with five counts of auto burglary, theft of auto and possession of a stolen auto.
Police say Reyes had burglarized five vehicles in several areas: the 200 block of Florence Court, the 100 block of McKinley Avenue, and the 200 block of South Stewart Avenue. Items stolen from the vehicles included two GPS units, a radar detector, a CD player, an iPod with speaker, and a wallet with $100 in currency.

Reyes then stole a truck from a driveway in the 100 block of Sunnyside Place, police said. Police later recovered most of the stolen items.
