Libertyville Police: Several Vehicles Burglarized, Items Stolen

The burglaries happened on various streets between Oct. 16 and 20.

These incidents were among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

Libertyville Police reported that several vehicles were burglarized between Oct. 16 and 20.

The burglaries occurred on the following streets: the 500 block of North 2nd Alley; the 700 block of Meadow Lane; the 100 and 200 blocks of Broadway Street; the 100 block of Church Street; the 300 block of North First Street (at three residences); the 200 block of North Avenue (at two residences); and the 200 block of Newberry Avenue.

Police said most of the vehicles were unlocked and either in the driveway or the garage. Windows were broken to gain access to two vehicles, police said, and the top was cut on one vehicle, a convertible.

Items taken from the vehicles included: a wallet; a purse; drivers licenses; identification, ATM, gift and credit cards; a Garmin GPS; a garage door remote; compact discs; and money.
