Little League Dispute and Golf Course Hijinks

A look at weird crime in our Patch region.

Local police departments provided the following reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt.

A Skokie little league football coach struck a player’s father in the face following a dispute, police said. The victim was picking up equipment near a football sideline when his son’s coach approached him and asked if he’d called the coach’s wife a derogatory name. The coach then proceeded to strike the man in the face with an open hand, the report stated.

Someone took an unsecured four person EZ Go Golf cart and put it into water hole on a Highland Park golf course.

Domestic disturbance at the Ichabod Crane residence

A pumpkin was found smashed on the street in Highland Park and a double pane window in the front of the residence that is approximately 6 feet high by 5 feet wide had a fist size hole in it with broken glass found on the porch.

Drawer of drawers missing

Four unknown women entered Victoria's Secret in Northbrook and left without paying for three bras and an entire drawer of underwear worth about $655.

Some folks say it's the work of the bogey man

Someone threw two flag sticks, a bench, a golf cup and a lacrosse net into the pond at a Northbrook golf course, according to police. Three more flag sticks were unaccounted for and some minor, reparable damage was done to the #7 green, police say.
