Man Pleads Not Guilty in Drug-Induced Death of LHS Grad

A Waukegan man who has been in jail since March charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, was recently charged by a grand jury with the drug-induced homicide of Timothy McCann.

A second man has plead not guilty to a charge of drug-induced homicide for supplying the heroin that killed a Libertyville High School graduate overdose and death, reported the Daily Herald.

Timothy McCann, 20, of Libertyville, was found unresponsive at his home on the night of Jan. 31. He was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center by Libertyville paramedics where he was pronounced dead, reported Patch.

Eugene Henderson, 33, of Waukegan, has pleaded not guilty to drug-induced homicide and remains jailed on $500,000 bond, according to the Daily Herald. His trial is scheduled for June 3.

In March, Byron Sullivan, 21, of Round Lake Beach, plead not guilty to drug induced homicide, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and resisting arrest, reported Patch. Police say Henderson sold the heroin to Sullivan who then sold it to McCann.
